Robert “Bob” Edward Anderson

Robert “Bob” Edward Anderson

febrero 27, 1941 - diciembre 11, 2022

Bob was born in St. Paul MN to Henry and Eva Anderson. The family moved to Southern California to escape the harsh MN winters and to allow the family to heal after the loss of Bob’s oldest brother from the polio epidemic in the 50’s. Bob loved SoCal life – particularly ocean swimming and body surfing.

Bob graduated from West Covina High School in 1960 and went on to Cal-Poly Pomona where he graduated with a business degree in accounting in 1964. He was a member of the Pi Sigma Chi fraternity. Bob met his future wife, Paula, during these years. They had two children – Kevin and Kerry.

After graduating from Cal-Poly Pomona, Bob took a job with the IRS in Bakersfield CA. Bob would spend the next 31 years as a revenue agent with the IRS. Bob moved to Seal Beach CA after he and Paula divorced. He lived in Seal Beach in an ocean-front home where beach life became his real life. Bob graduated from Western States School of Law in 1973 and was admitted to the California Bar in 1974.

Bob moved to San Clemente in 1987 where beach life continued to be a central activity. In 1990 he and Brenda married and made their home and life in their beloved Spanish Village by the Sea. They were active members of the South County Church of Christ.

Bob retired from the IRS in 1995 and began a small tax practice. He also found time to golf, swim, work out, and enjoy everyone who came to visit. He spent almost every summer day at Riviera Beach and was an avid California Angel fan. He spent each January in the Caribbean on a cruise ship, two annual trips to Hawaii, multiple river cruises through Europe and Russia, cruises to Alaska and multiple cross-country trips to visit his homeland Minnesota and visit friends along the way.

Bob was a caring, compassionate, generous, loving person. He had a great sense of humor, loved to talk, was curious, and eager to be involved in the lives of his family, friends, clients and neighbors.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Eva, his older brother, Donny, and his beloved nephew, Jason. He is survived by his wife Brenda, son Kevin (Michelle), daughter Kerry (Mark), grandson Justin (Kortny), grandson Garret (Kellie), brother Richard (Sherree), sisters Evanne, Vickie (Dennis), Pattie (Randy) and dozens of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Bob was very excited to welcome his first great grandson, Parker Keith this coming February 2023.
