Cremation

Dignified care at every step.

We provide our community with compassionate and individualized cremation services.

We are here to inform and guide you so that you are equipped to make the best choice for you and your family. Cremations services can be customized and combined with many of the other service we provide.

Cremation Options

1) Traditional Cremation Services – Much like a traditional funeral, the deceased is present with cremation services taking place after the service. The family may choose to arrange a visitation before the funeral service. Cremated remains can be buried in a cemetery with or without a graveside service, placed in a niche in a columbarium, or returned to the family.

2) Memorial Gathering – Memorial services can occur at any time after the cremation process. The urn is usually on display at the service, which can take place in any setting you choose. We can guide you through your options and help you plan a fitting service for your loved one.

3) Direct Cremation – Our staff takes care of all required paperwork, and arranges pickup and transportation of the decreased to the crematory. Afterward, the cremated remains are returned to the family.

Our sole purpose is to help ease as many burdens as possible from families experiencing loss.

Our dedicated staff will take care of all details, including prompt filing of required permits and notifications. Accurate completion of these essential documents ensures their acceptance by local or state agencies and guarantees no delay in the cremation process.

It is our honor to provide respectful care of the deceased. Members of our staff handle dignified pickup and transportation into our care. Your loved one will be attended to by certified crematory operators, each trained to provide compassionate care and conscientious attention to detail every step of the way.

We ensure safekeeping and prompt return of cremated remains. We know how important it is for families to know their loved one will be coming home as soon as possible. We notify you as soon as their ashes become available and safeguard their urn until you are ready to receive them.

Planning an Ash Scattering Ceremony

A scattering ceremony can be a beautiful tribute to your loved one. If you choose to scatter, we can help you plan a fitting gathering at our facilities or a special place elsewhere. There are some important things to keep in mind:

  • If you plan on scattering ashes on private property, it’s wise to receive written permission from the owner.
  • Public parks require that you obtain a scattering permit.
  • There are generally no regulations regarding ash scattering on uncontrolled public lands; you will need to use your own judgment.
  • You should not scatter ashes within 100 yards of public roads or trails.
  • The cremation container or urn must be disposed of separately and in an environmentally safe manner.
  • For ash scattering done at sea, the Environmental Protection Agency requires that you notify the regional office in writing within 30 days after the event.
  • Scattering ashes in inland waters is governed by the Clean Water Act. It’s important to obtain a permit from the appropriate agency beforehand.
  • Ash scattering at sea must be done at a minimum of three nautical miles from the coastline.
  • Any flowers or wreaths used in an ash scattering ceremony held at sea must decompose. No plastic flowers or other non-decomposable items should be left behind.
